Q: What is your favourite wine?

There are "all kinds of great wines made here in Canada," says Smith. He enjoys rieslings from Niagara and his all-time favourite wine is Mission Hill's Oculus.

Q: Do you have any favourite memories that involve wine?

"Hanging out with Michael Allemeier in the kitchen at Mission Hill," says Smith. “He’s an old buddy of mine; really put the culinary program on the map there.”

Q: If you could share a bottle of wine with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?

“It would be my girlfriend," says Smith.
