On top of this, Paul adds an overdubbed lead guitar passage that actually starts on the eighth note before the first measure of the introduction. The cowbell overdub was mixed rather low on this mono mix which also included very little reverb on the vocals. As has been becoming more frequent, Paul performs the solo on this track which is played in part, if not in full, using a slide which is most noticeable in the seventh and eighth measures.
